My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. While the rooms were small and the bathroom tiny, they were surprisingly comfortable. However, the noise from both the street and other guests was quite bothersome. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the old town and city center, making it ideal for exploring the city. The dining experience was decent, although a few more options for breakfast would have been appreciated. Despite the minor inconveniences, my overall experience was positive.

The hotel is centrally located, close to attractions and nightlife, with historic charm and live music at the restaurant. The rooms, while spacious with a balcony, lack elevator access for luggage but offer a quiet stay. Service is exceptional, with friendly and efficient multilingual staff. The dining selection is somewhat limited, yet satisfying. Overall, a great value for the city center position, despite accessibility challenges.

Rooms

Decent sized room with a balcony, safe, and nice bathroom. Quiet despite street-facing, but luggage needs to be manually brought up to upper floors for elevator access.

I loved the historic building and the live music at the restaurant, but the dark and unwelcoming atmosphere in the rooms left a lot to be desired. The central location was ideal for exploring Porto, yet the disappointing dining experience was a letdown.

Rooms

Despite some challenges with elbow space in the rooms, the hotel managed to provide a quiet stay despite its central location. The unwelcoming atmosphere due to dim lighting was a downside, but overall, a peaceful experience right in the heart of the town.

Rooms
7.0
The room layout made it tricky to use the facilities comfortably, needing to navigate carefully to avoid hitting elbows, but the overall atmosphere was quiet despite facing the street.
Service
9.0
The staff were friendly, multilingual, and efficient, even amidst a full hotel. They were particularly helpful when assisting with luggage storage and locating misplaced items, maintaining a super-friendly and helpful demeanor.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent, allowing easy exploration of the city center without the need for transportation. Despite the historic charm of the building, the surrounding area offered numerous eateries, shops, and easy access to various attractions.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience, though not exceptional, provided a decent continental breakfast in a bright and comfortable setting. However, issues with food handling practices were noticeable, though not impacting the overall meal quality.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered a cold buffet breakfast at a great price, worth trying for the value. Despite minor issues with food handling, the dining area was comfortable and acceptable. The building's historical significance added to its charm.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, except for the modern bathrooms with a balcony, were on the smaller side and quite cold due to the windows, necessitating constant use of the A/C. However, the service was helpful and clean, though a bit old. The location was excellent, right in the city center, but improvements are needed. The dining options were limited and not the best, but the continental breakfast in a bright, comfortable room was decent.
